Vidya on self designing
Thursday, 10.04.2007, 04:18am (GMT-7)

Actress Vidya Balan has become very particular about her looks in the films. The otherwise easygoing actress had her differences with fashion designer Aki Narula on the sets of director Aziz Mirza’s movie in Toronto, Canada.

The movie has Vidya pairing with Shahid Kapur. Vidya, who has become finicky about her costumes post Heyy Babyy, was apparently not happy with some of the dresses that Aki Narula had designed for her. Vidya thought the costumes were too zany and did not suit her character in the film. Not only did Vidya voice her disapproval of Narula’s costumes, she even went to buy her new dresses for the film.

Producer Ramesh Taurani did not object to Vidya because he thought it was all being done for the betterment of the movie. After just a few shopping sprees, Vidya ended up buying a number of outfits for her character in the film. Aki Narula, on the other hand, flew back to India.
