Second take? Sunday, 11.25.2007, 10:28pm (GMT-7) Mallika Sherawat ’s comedy film Fauj Mein Mauj has been shelved. The producer now wants to re-shoot the film from scratch.The movie has been stuck on the floors for a long time due to financial crisis and creative differences between producer Ravi Walia and director Murali Nagavalli. Reports have it that Mallika herself was not happy with the way Murali was directing the film. The movie was apparently not shaping up as producer and stars had envisioned. Now, the producer has dropped the director from the project. A new director, Sanjay Chhel, is being roped in to direct the film again. Buzz has it that the entire movie will be shot again. The shooting is likely to begin from January next year.The principal cast of Mallika Sherawat, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav has been retained. ‘Fauj Mein Mauj’ has Mallika playing a beauty queen who decides to join the Indian army after the death of her husband. As she gives up her comfortable domestic life and begins training as an army cadre, she becomes a constant distraction for all the robust young men and aspiring soldiers around. The film is a comedy. |
