Going traditional?
Monday, 12.24.2007, 12:15am (GMT-7)

Isha Koppikar has signed for a role that is diametrically opposite to her chic and bindaas image. To play a traditional Indian woman dressed demurely in a sari is the last thing you would have expected from Isha.

But that is exactly what she is set to do in Rajshree Films’ next production titled Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi .Isha, who earned the title of an item girl after her Khallas song, says she was surprised when she got a call from Sooraj Barjatya to star in ‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’.

The movie is based on a touching subject that tracks changes in a ten-year-long relationship of a couple. Actor Sonu Sood plays Isha’s love interest in the film.‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’ will not be directed by Barjatya, but by his assistant Kaushik Ghatak.

The film is also not a sequel to Barjatya’s last hit Vivah .The movie’s shooting is set to begin in January next year.
