Bravo Akshay
Sunday, 07.06.2008, 09:41pm (GMT-7)

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar needs just an excuse to flirt with fear and danger. But it was not for his personal adrenaline trip but for a movie shoot that Akshay reportedly took a deep plunge into the sea and shot a scene with as many as 35 sharks. Akshay was fully prepared to shoot this scene in which he goes 75 feet under water to the hull of a sunken ship amidst deadly sharks floating around him.

But things did not go as planned. While shooting underwater Akshay accidentally hit his head against the rusted metal of the wrecked ship and blood began to ooze out. The crew was immediately alarmed because sharks get attracted to the smell of blood.

While the trainers tried to take the sharks away, the underwater crew rushed to stop Akshay’s bleeding and slowly carried him to the surface. Thankfully, nothing untoward happened and Akshay even joked about the incident to the crew later on.
