Someone has rightly said that two swords cannot stay inside one scabbard. The recent squabble happened at Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash, Salman and SRK almost came to blows. According to one report, while having a friendly conversation with the guests and Salman, SRK in his usual flamboyance proclaimed himself (jocularly) as the superstar of Bollywood.

But Salman reportedly took the remark seriously and replied that SRK was a superstar who was ‘Paanchvi Fail’ (an allusion to SRK’s unsuccessful TV show ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Hai’). Reports say just when it seemed that verbal spat was about to become physical, once Aishwarya Rai’s name entered the scene. SRK’s wife Gauri Khan took him by hand and led him straight out of the party. And what was supposed to be a night of revelry ended on a rather sour note as Katrina left the venue in tears.

The two had earlier fought on the sets of SRK’s film Chalte Chalte way back in 2003 when Salman (then on the rebound) barged onto the sets of the movie and demanded to speak to Aishwarya Rai who had then freshly dumped him like some hot potato. Someone has rightly said: ‘The more things change, the more they remain the same’.
