Govinda is elated as he has found a true ‘partner’ in Salman Khan, his co-star in the film Partner. Since this is his second innings in Bollywood, he is thankful to the two Khans for giving him a plum role in their home production, which is presently doing well at the theatres. "When I was down and out they could've given me any role, I'd have happily accepted.

They instead gave me a parallel role to Salman in 'Partner," Govinda told a news agency. In fact, Govinda was so touched by the magnanimity of the Khans that he simply refused to take any money for working in ‘Partner’. In response, Sohail Khan gifted a Mercedes car to Govinda.
