Finally Bollywood’s bubbly actress Preity Zinta has found a meaningful role to please the niche audiences. Zinta will play the lead character in Toronto-based filmmaker Deepa Mehta’s next film. The film, titled Heaven On Earth , will narrate the tale of a young battered housewife stuck up in an abusive marriage.

Producer Pritish Nandy has rubbished rumors that he has cast Esha Deol to play Chandramukhi in his version of "Devdas", which will be directed by Sudhir Mishra. "It's true that Shiney Ahuja and Lara Dutta have been confirmed for the roles of Devdas and Paro. But we're yet to cast Chandramukhi.
