CHICAGO: Global Punjabi Milaap will be held on Saturday October 20 from 1pm to 5pm at Prospect Heights Park District hall in Prospect Heights, a north side Chicago suburb, to discuss Punjabi Today and Tomorrow. The program will consist of lectures, discussion and poetry. Dr Madan Lal Hasiza, Director (Retired) Language Department Punjab, India will be the Chief Guest.

Dr. Hasiza, a well known name in Punjabi literature, is visiting Chicago. It is also proposed to start an international branch of Punjab Writers & Cultural Forum that has its headquarters in Patiala. The forum plans to help NRIs with publishing their writings and distributing them to libraries and to prominent personalities.

The Forum also awards Patiala Rattan and Panjab Rattan. For the first time in Chicago, Forum will present its Punjab Rattan at Milaap to an international punjabi personality.Asha Sharma well known Punjabi orator and Radio Host of Geet Sangeet radio show from California will emcee the event. There will be a youth forum to discuss the problems of youth.
