Rishiji's inspirational workshops in LA Tuesday, 10.02.2007, 10:51pm (GMT-7) LOS ANGELES, CA: In India, crowds of hundreds of thousands come to listen to his soul stirring knowledge and his melodic voice. His wisdom, charm, enthusiasm and laughter enrapture audiences from all over the world. For the first time, Los Angeles audiences will be able to experience the presence and powerful healing vibrations of Rishi Nityapragya, 43, respectfully known as Rishiji. Rishiji is bringing his deep spiritual knowledge and transformational musical talents to Los Angeles from Oct 2 to Oct 22 in a rare US appearance. He will be giving a public talk and leading several internationally acclaimed Art of Living courses in the Westside of LA. During the past 16 years, over 55 million people in 157 countries have benefited from Art of Living programs. People who have taken the course report an increase in energy, improved focus, a renewed enthusiasm for life, and a greater degree of happiness and well-being. The cornerstone of the course is an innovative breathing technique called the "Sudarshan Kriya," developed by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of the Art of Living Foundation. Independent studies have shown Sudarshan Kriya lowers cortisol (the "stress hormone") and cholesterol, as well as provides relief from depression and other symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, including insomnia, fear, anxiety and grief. It is a powerful tool to help eliminate toxins from the body and calm the mind.Originally trained as a chemical engineer, Rishiji loved to race motorcycles and sing in bands until he met Sri Sri Ravi Shankar 15 years ago. That moment changed his life forever as he experienced completeness and supreme consciousness at their first meeting. Both shared the vision of helping humanity and teaching the ancient healing practices of yoga and meditation. Rishi Nityapragya is now the Director of International Programs and one of the most respected teachers for the Art of Living Foundation. Rishiji will be sharing his profound wisdom in a workshop entitled "The Art of Living: Relationships, Worldly and Divine" on October 2 from 7:00 - 9:30 pm at the Marina Del Rey Hotel.
