Chicago group conducts Katha Yagya in India

CHICAGO: Kusumben Patel of Gayatri Pariwar Chicago was recently in India with an avowed objective of giving a push to the spread of Gayatri philosophy and Gayatri movement there through conducting Pragya Puran Katha and Gayatri Yagya at several places.In a talk to this paper, she said that she traveled Delhi, Mathura and Gayatri Tapobhumi, the main center of Gurudev Acharya Shree Ram Sharma, during her four weeks of stay there.

The first event was Pragya Puran Katha from December 8 to 10 at Sheikh Sarai, New Delhi. Guptarganj is the small village in Sultanpur district, and Gayatri Pariwar Guptarganj organized three days program on December 16, 17, & 18. Devotees received books and CDs.

Gayatri Shaktipeeth of Sultanpur announced organizing a big program at Sultanpur and devotees from Mumbai also decided to have a program of Gayatri Yagya next year. In Nanpur, Pramukh Swami School invited her for giving Gayatri message to students.

The principal brought hundreds of students for volunteer work at Nanpur Jalaram program from December 21-23.Shree Ramch- andra Thakkar, Organizer and founder of Jalaram Bapa Temple at Nanpur (20 km from Ahmedabad) organized three days Kusumben Pragya Puran Katha and 108 Kundi Gayatri Yagya program at Nanpur.

Hundreds of devotees from all around Gujarat participated in the Katha and Gayatri yagya, and received newly published Kusumben's book and CD. Shree Ramchandra Thakkar announced holding Katha and Yagya next year in Ahmedabad. Rajnibhai Modi from Chicago helped to organize Gayatri Yagya. Harshaben Thakkar, Chatur Dewanji and others were part of the Bhajan singing group.
