Jayaram Komati elected TANA Executive Vice President

FREMONT: Telugu Association of North America(TANA) an organization of people of Telugu origin residing in North America, conducted elections to elect the new committee for years 2007 to 2009.

Jayaram Komati, a long time resident of San Francisco Bay area was elected for the post of Executive Vice President. He received 2,877 votes and declared elected as President Elect over Ranakumar Nadella who got 1,926 votes. Jayaram Komati is the first person to be elected to this post from Northern California.

Speaking to the press after the election, Komati thanked the members of TANA for putting their faith in him and said that he will execute the duties of the office with passion and dedication. He said that he would work towards establishing a permanent office for TANA to be able to conduct day to day operations of the organization.

Jayaram said that he will work hard to take TANA to unprecedented levels of success and also work on community developmental projects. He said that he will raise funds for the organization and will encourage and involve more members of TANA to take an active part in the organization. Jayaram said that he will dedicate himself to making TANA an organization that every NRI Telugu person will feel proud to be a member.

Jayaram Komati is a successful entrepreneur who has been living in the San Francisco Bay Area for more than 25 years. He is a philanthropist with passion for community service. He has been serving the community over the past 15 years and is actively involved in several non-profit organizations. He is currently serving as the Director of Cure a Little Heart Foundation, Secretary of TANA, Member Advisory board of Bay Area Telugu Association and has served as President and Chairman of Federation of India Associations, Northern California. Jayaram has been actively involved in raising funds for several projects including a project for Sankara Eye Foundation. He donated over a million dollar to various causes in the last few years.

He played a key role and was instrumental in the successful completion of the Sankara Eye Foundation Eye Hospital in Guntur. Mohan Nannapaneni, a resident of Boston was elected to the post of Treasurer. Mohan has been actively involved with TANA for several years and has been contributing generously for developmental projects in Andhra Pradesh.
