Eagan Shakha meets goal of Suryanamaskara
Sunday, 02.10.2008, 10:04pm (GMT-7)

EAGAN, MN: Suryanamaskara Yagna is a yogic marathon to manifest divinity within self. It was initiated by Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, USA. All people across USA were invited and encouraged to participate in the yagna from Jan 12 to Jan 27. About 7000 people participated all across USA with a goal of meeting 1,000,000 Suryanamaskars Eagan Shakha eagerly looked forward to this year's Suryanamaskara Yagna. Initially the Shakha's goal was 3000 SNs.

But because of the overwhelming response and enthusiasm the goal moved to 10,000 SNs. According to HSS sources, 71 karyakartas from across Minneapolis and St Paul participated in the mission. Most of the karyakartas had their own individual goals per day.

During the yagna period, willing karyakartas got together in Eagan Public library and participated in a group towards their final goal. Finally by the end of the last day, January 27, the Eagan Shakha met its goal by reaching 10,002 SNs. The Eagan shakha and all the participants are pleased with their achievement and are looking forward to next year's yagna.
