Sikh Coalition opening for internships

NEW YORK: The Sikh Coalition, a community-based organization serving as a resource on Sikh concerns, has opened its arms to admit interns. The non-profit is looking for interns who are equipped for a competitive hands-on experience promoting civil and human rights for all people while working in New York City.They are currently accepting applications for Advocacy; Operations; and Business Development/Marketing interns for the summer.

The internship would provide the opportunity to lead and develop groundbreaking projects in support of the Sikh Coalition's mission. Selected interns will also receive a $500 stipend. Past interns have received academic credit, and Work Study or Pro Bono credit may be also be available through your University. To apply, each candidate is required to submit a cover letter and resume to internship@sikhcoalition.org.

The resumes would be judged on the basis of application, requirements, commitment and work study. The application deadline is April 1. A commitment of 5 days or 35 hours/week for a minimum of 10 weeks at our New York City office is required.
