CHICAGO: The Vivekananda Vedanta Society has slated Sri Ramachandra and Sri Hanuman Worship and Homa at the site of Sri Ramakrishna Universal Temple in Homer Glen from 10 am to 2 pm on April 26.

The celebration includes Sri Ganesh Puja, Punyaha Vachanam (Sri Varuna Puja), Sri Ramachandra Ashtottara Shata Nama Puja, Sri Hanuman Ashtottara Shata Nama Puja, Sri Ramakrishna Stotram Parayanam, Sri Hanuman Chalisa Parayanam, Sri Ramachandra Taraka Homa, and Sri Hanuman Moola Mantra Homa.This celebration is accompanied by the performance of the homa by the sponsors ($1008 per sponsor) and by the Archana participants ($501 per participant).

Each sponsor will be able to perform the homa under the guidance of revered Sri Chandrasekara Gurukal, a priest well-versed in Vedic traditions. He will instruct the sponsors on the moola mantras to be chanted prior to each offering. Archana participants can participate in the Archana offerings.The funds raised will help to pay back the construction loan for the newly built Sri Ramakrishna Universal Temple.
