Shikha Kahlon wins Spelling Bee Conference

 CHICAGO: Lake Zurich Junior School North student Shika Kahlon won the Spelling Bee Conference at the River Grove Junior High School. Eighth graders Shika Kahlon and Sean Delanty brought home the Gold and Silver respectively. Can you spell physique? Acolyte?

How about exteroceptor or extraordinaire? FiveLake Zurich Middle School North (LZ MSN) students certainly can! Eighth grader Shikha Kahlon and Sean Delanty spelled those words and more to earn first and third place respectively at the 2008 Suburban Middle School Conference Spelling Bee held at Fox River Grove Middle School recently.Not only were they individual place winners, but with the support of three other MSN Wolves, sixth graders Stephanie Hatz, Michael Fuell and Nathan Bosse, the North team was able to bring home the Conference Championship trophy by out spelling other outstanding school representatives from across the conference.

Congratulations MSN spelling bee students extraordinaire!Shikha Kahlon has been very actively involved with community cultural and youth activities. She is the proud daughter of Community activists Jairam Singh Kahlon and Sukhjit Kaur Kahlon.About 51 contestants participated in this suburban conference held in River Grove. Shikha was the runner up last year and Sean Delanty was the winner. It got reversed this year.
