LA Sheriff's Council hosts Vaisakhi banquet

LOS ANGELES: The Los Angeles County Sheriff Leroy D Baca will be the Chief Guest at a Vaisakhi Banquet hosted by the LA County Sheriff's Indo American Advisory Council. The Indian New Year Celebration will be held on April 25 from 5.30 pm onwards at the historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel in the heart of Los Angeles' Downtown district.Leading community members and Officers of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department will attend the gala.

This is perhaps the first time that the Sheriff's Department and the Indo American community will get a chance to interact with each other on such a personal level.As always there will be dinner, dancing and the guests will get ample opportunity to network amongst themselves. Gibran Sean, rising Hollywood singer, model Nauzad Sadry and R & B Latin artist Ramon will entertain the elite Los Angeles socialites and dignitaries in Hollywood Bollywood fusion style entertainment.

The event also promises cultural dances and other activities related to American Indian Fusion.There will be an awards ceremony where distinguished community and Sheriff's Department members and those who gave their lives in the line of duty will be recognized and honored.

This high profile event has the support of various South Asian organizations based here in Southern California. FOSAAC, So Cal FIA, Women's FIA and Desi Tola are amongst many organizations which have expressed support for this banquet concert.Chairman of the Indo American Council Kevin Kaul is very excited about this banquet.

Both Kevin and Event Chairman Jimmy Sandhu expressed confidence that this Banquet is the first of the many events planned for the future to increase interaction and cooperation between the Indo American community and the law enforcement agencies.
