$200,000 fund raising event for ATA

WASHINGTON: The American Telugu Association (ATA) Roju and fundraising event was held on April 19 at Fox Chase Manor in Virginia. The event was a huge success with more than 1,200 people attended. Attendees showed lot of enthusiasm and interest through out the event.

Local coordinators Srinivas Anugu, Ram Mohan Konda, Bhuvanesh Boojala and Prashanth Goguri organized the event successfully with the help of Sravan Morishetty, Kishore Konda, Rajesh Madireddy, Lokesh Reddy, Jayendar Annam, Santosh Gavva, Suresh Reddy.The event was conducted uniquely with a grand welcome to the attendees and nonstop entertainment by children from local dance schools, local artists with songs and skits.

Special attractions included dances from Telugu film heroines Aarti Agarwal and Aditi Agarwal. Food from Minerva was a mouth watering experience to the attendees.The Washington DC, Maryland & Virginia committee and members held a successful fundraising event in to raise funds for the mega event, 10th ATA Conference and Youth Convention to be conducted by ATA on July 3, 4 and 5 in Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey. Fundraising event collected a whopping $200,000 which is the largest amount outside of Conference area.

Event was attended by prominent members and ATA President Chandra Reddy Gavva, ATA founder Hanmanth Reddy, Board of trustees Rajender Jinna, Damodar Donur, Sudhakar Parkari and Conference chairs Paramesh Bheemreddy, Pradeep Samala, Ram Reddy, etc.
