Guru Palace makes its mark in the Route 1 corridor
Sunday, 05.04.2008, 10:59pm (GMT-7)

NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ: Chef Jasbir Singh of the Tawaa Group of Restaurants, New York, announced the launch of his new restaurant Guru Palace at a glittering ceremony attended by the local who's who of the Central NJ area on April 23.

The restaurant was packed to capacity with over 200 people in attendance. The delicious menu consisted of hot delicacies like Lamb Chops, Chili-Chicken, Veg Pakoras and Seekh Kababs. The main course boasted of Goat Masala, Chicken Tikka Masala, Fish Masaledar, Saag Paneer, Chicken Biryani and Dal Makhni.

The meal ended with desserts like Malai Kulfi and an assortment of Indian sweetmeats. The restaurant is a one-stop shop for Indian food lovers as the exhaustive menu offers dishes from North and South India.

It also caters to the Far East palate by offering Chinese and Thai dishes specially prepared to suit the Indian taste. So from Kebabs and Curries to Dosai and Sambhar, and from Dim Sum to Penang, Guru Palace is the food junction everyone has been waiting for. For Chef Jasbir Singh, Indian food is number one priority.

Jasbir has over 12 years experience in preparing exquisite cuisine and his experience ranges from the ancient art of preparing royal Indian cuisine of Dum Pukht, a 500 years old art of cooking where food is steam cooked to keep it low in calories, to the more modern art of preparing contemporary Thai recipes.

Thus, Jasbir brings to Guru Palace a passion for food preparation, a strong sense of work ethic, and a commitment to patrons as evidenced by the many testimonials he has received from his customers. Guru Palace also offers a banquet facility of up to 180 people on premises and will be providing off site catering services as well.

According to him, Guru Palace can meet all client needs from birthdays, family reunions, anniversaries, and graduations to a house warming, a Sweet 16s, any festive needs, wedding engagements or any other occasion.

Guru Palace is open seven days a week for both Lunch and Dinner and serves a lavish lunch buffet everyday including a weekend gala brunch buffet that offers over 35 varieties of food served Fridays through Sundays.
