CHICAGO: Punjabi Cultural Society of Chicago (PCS) has slated its eighth annual "Punjabi Youth Graduation and Scholarship Award Night" on Sunday, June 8 starting at 5 pm, at Vice Roy of India Banquet Hall, Lombard, a Chicago suburb.
PCS will award $1000 and $750 scholarships to qualified High School Seniors Punjabi students. The last date to register for the scholarships is May 18. PCS has decided to honor the class of 2008, both high school and college.
The celebration will include recognition awards, key note address, delicious food, DJ music, dancing and networking. The participants of "Rangla Punjab 2008" will also be awarded. Party is free for the graduates and Rangla Punjab participants.
"All the eligible graduates, Rangla Punjab participants, and guests must register in advance for a dinner head count by June 1," said Ronny Kular, vice president of PCS.
