Basketball contest at Gurudwara Walnut

WALNUT, CA: Shri Guru Singh Sabha had a Basketball Contest on Saturday May 10. This event was open to boys and girls, men and women, from five year olds to anyone over 60 yrs. Cash prizes were awarded to the winners. The event provided incentive for the young children to visit the Gurdwara. Refreshments were served throughout the event.

The prizes were sponsored by Saab Singh Bhullar, Rajnish Singh Chadha, Hanwant Bir Singh Sawhney, Gurbax Singh Bhasin, Paramjit Singh Nijjar, Gurjeet Singh Sahni from Chicago, and Nachhatar Singh Bhullar. Harvey Dua, Sonia Dua, Jaspreet Singh Sawhney, Ekta Kaur Sawhney and Penny Kaur volunteered to conduct the event successfully.

Eighteen contestants won the prizes. The refreshments were provided by Manmeet Tuli, Bikram Gujral, Sunpreet Singh, Bhavjit Malhotra, Harmeet Singh, Pritam Singh, Gurneet Singh.There were 115 participants in all. Over 200 people that attended this event.
