Dr Anand pleads for more efforts to reach out to YPs
Sunday, 07.06.2008, 09:51pm (GMT-7)

 India Post News Service

Dr Satish Anand, the president of the Federation of NY- New Jersey AAPI, strongly pitched for all inclusiveness of all AAPI chapters in Tri-state area as also for a greater involvement of the first generation of Indian American and Indian physicians/ residents here.He said that his Federation would extend its helping hand to the Queens-Long Island chapter in celebrating their annual banquet in mid- October and would see that the event gets quite attractive even to the first generation Indian American physicians as to the immigrant physicians from India.

He specially praised the vibrant and foresighted leadership of Dr Bhavani Srinivasan, the first woman president of the Queens- Long Island AAPI in this regard. In a talk to this paper, Dr Anand mentioned that the there are 20 AAPI chapters in the Tri State area and that the Queens- Long Island one is the oldest and biggest. I t would be for the first time that the Federation gets involved in a local chapter's celebration and this is a welcome move, he felt.
