Health awareness clinic at Dashmesh Darbar Guru Ghar
Tuesday, 07.08.2008, 05:32am (GMT-7)

LODI, CA: Sahaita inc. held a Health awareness clinic on July 6 at the premises of Gurdwara Sahib in Lodi, California. Close to 100 patients were screened for blood pressure, glucose and obesity problems. Healthcare staff including the Physicians, Pharmacist were present to guide patients and make them aware of changes in lifestyle and diet.

High blood pressure and diabetes were major problems. The growing need of the health problem solutions and uninsured elders is a concern .It is apparent that bad food choices and lack of physical work is also leading to growing obesity among Indians which few years ago was not a problem. Sahaita's board is very appreciative of all the support provided by young volunteers who travel such long distances to make the clinic go smoothly.

Sahaita will be participating at the Annual Miri piri health fair in Surrey at the scott road Gurughar on July 13. Sahaita foundation will also have its annual Fundraiser at the Grand Taj Banquet Hall, Surrey on July 18. Our next medical camp will be on August 2 at West Sacramento Gurughar in Sacramento.
