CHICAGO: Gurupurnima was celebrated at Gayatri Shaktipeeth, Chicago with great fan fare in presence of hundreds of devotees.Devotees expressed their readiness to carry on the mission of Pujya Gurudev Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya in form of donating their expertise, extending financial help and precious time. Kusumben, the head of Gayatri Shakteepith, highlighted the importance of Gurupurnima explaining different aspects of Guru Shakti and Guru bhakti using especially the tools called Upasana, Sadhana and Aradhana.

Dr Indravadan Dave, known as Pujya Haribaba, explained the ways and means of lighting the lamp of spirituality through understanding and implementing the prowess and efficacy of Gayatri Mantra within us so as to shine out externally. Rakeshji and Bhanuben provided a lively accompaniment to Kusumben in conducting the Gayatri Yagna and singing bhajans.
