CHICAGO: With a degree in commerce and business administration from Bombay University under his belt, the newly appointed Midwest Regional Manager for Air India Jude Crasto also brings rich experience in administration and marketing with him for his new assignment. He joined Air India three decades ago and worked up his way up through sheer hard work and commitment to his job.

He was manager in Cochin and worked as assistant manager in Dubai marketing Air India in the Mid-eastern States. In a talk to India Post, he said one of his prime tasks would be to make Air India as the most front line air career to India through ensuring competitive fares and best possible services.

"We need to be utmost customer friendly in rendering our services. Our record offering in in-flight services is good and comparable to most other international air lines, and I would like to see that we are one better in our air port and ground services, we will further streamline our administration operations as well," he said.Air India operates seven days a week flight from Chicago to Indian cities and is quite competitive in its fares. Its overall occupancy is encouraging as in peak season it is difficult t to get seats.

Crasto said that new line of aircrafts is added to Air India fleet besides relatively old ones being continually rehabbed.
