LOS ANGELES: The Mandir in Irvine will host Samskrita Bharati USA's celebration of Vishva Samskrita Dinam (World Sanskrit Day) on Saturday, September 6 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm. The program will be presided over by Sri Krishna Shastry, one of the founders of Samskrita Bharati who will speak on the cultural relevance of Sanskrit in today's world.

The celebration will start with a shloka recitation competition for children ages 3-18, followed by an entertainment program and light snacks. There is no entry fee to the program, and anyone curious about learning to speak Sanskrit is welcome to attend and gain information on ongoing classes all across California.
