Punjab BJP President felicitated
Tuesday, 10.14.2008, 11:53pm (GMT-7)

India Post News Service

FREMONT: Swagat Milpitas once again played host to welcome and felicitate Professor Rajinder Bhandari - Punjab BJP President. Presidents of various active social organizations and host of other well known BJP and RSS activists and supporters gathered on October 11, waited patiently for over two hours for the arrival of Bhandari and BJP leader Vikram Bajwa.Among those present Jayaram Komati is an avid businessman and entrepreneur with a passion for continual development of TANA and commitment to reach out to the poor and deprived class in Andhra Pradesh; Govindrajan, President Bharati Tamil Sangam with Hari and Rajiv Kanan their active office bearers and Jeevan Zutshi, President Indo American Kashmir Forum and spokesman on Kashmir issues.

Bhandari met the BJP and RSS supporters and commended their work regarding spreading their ideologies overseas. Fremont City Council Member Yogi Chugh extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries present and to Bhandari and Vikram Bajwa. Rajinder Bhandari made very clear to all the purpose of his visit to Canada and USA.

He said he had come to meet all the BJP and RSS supporters as there were some misunderstandings and mis-communications on some of their policies and ideologies. Therefore he wanted to meet everyone in person "to eliminate any misgivings."

We ardently hope every thing is fine and running smooth within their party lines as it ought to be a grave issue to summon a president all the way from Ludhiana, Punjab to Canada and California. Bhandari apprised everyone of their strong support towards organizations involved in tribal upliftment and Hindu culture awareness in India.

Being a strong supporter of Ekal Movement, and other social groups which advocate the Hindu culture, he said that "he will not leave any stone unturned to see their success and progress." Jeevan Zutshi took the opportunity to make everyone aware, once again, of the four resolutions that were passed in favor of Kashmir, which he said, somehow our Indian government has failed to even acknowledge. Such a deaf ear approach may hamper peace reconciliation between the pundits and other residents of Kashmir.

There were some insightful comments on this issue by Vikram Paul, President India Post. It was a very interactive session and enlightening evening with Bajwa and Bhandari. Everyone enjoyed the extotic Indian dinner spread by Swagat, with Chandru Bhambra playing the gracious host.
