I-MAS software installed at Indian Consulate in Chicago
CHICAGO: A high level team of senior officers of the Ministry of External Affairs of India led by the Principal Chief Controller of Accounts S.K. Jana visited Chicago recently to interact with the Consulate General of India, Chicago.
The four member team had in-depth interaction with Consul General of India, Ashok Kumar Attri, Consul Vishvas Sapkal, Consul Administration Krishan Kumar Pahel, and other members of the Consulate during their visit.
The team also installed and commissioned the state of the art I-MAS software developed by the Ministry of External Affairs, which provides seamless connectivity of the Ministry Headquarters in New Delhi with diplomatic missions overseas to receive accounting and expenditure information for more effective coordination. The team also provided training to the Consulate personnel to operate and manage the new system.
During the visit, the team also joined the members of the Consulate to observe the Qaumi Sadbhavna Divas (National Harmony Day) and they also took oath to maintain national harmony along with members of the Consulate which was administered by Consul General Ashok Kumar Attri.
The delegation also attended the formal diplomatic reception/dinner hosted by Attri and Mrs. Usha Kiran Attri to celebrate the 63rd Independence Day of India at Preston Bradley Hall of the Cultural Center of Chicago.
