Leuva Patidar Samaj of Florida holds picnic

PENSACOLA, FL: The Leuva Patidar Samaj (LPS) of Florida held its third annual picnic at Perdido Key, minutes away from Pensacola, FL. on June 16. Over 500 people of all ages attended this event. Children enjoyed playing ball and swimming in the beach while adults enjoyed the food and networking with other members from all over Florida.Nash and Jay Patel of Pensacola were key coordinators and were happy to see the turnout, as well as, seeing the current President BN Patel, immediate past President Dan Patel, and incoming President DV Patel who traveled from as far as California, Tennessee and Texas.

Members also traveled from all over Florida, namely, Ocala, Gainsville, Tampa, Orlando, Tallahassee, Fort Lauderdale, etc. Some also came from neighboring state Alabama.There was also a free medical clinic on site with Dr Garg who volunteered his services at no cost. Nash Patel, in his speech, thanked all the sponsors, volunteers for making this a successful event and called upon the Samaj Presidents to address the audience. He also presented awards to volunteers and some board members and announced that Ft. Myers, FL. will be the host city for the next picnic on May 10, 2008.
