Hillary Clinton visits with SoCal South-Asian Community

ANAHEIM: On June 23, Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton attended a fundraiser hosted by the South Asian community led by Kishore (Kevin) Kaul at the residence of Dr Anil Shah, a prominent cardiologist in Southern California.
Approximately 125 supporters attended the event in Anaheim Hills.Hillary Clinton discussed issues important to the community including the importance of the relationship between the South Asian nations and the United States. She acknowledged with appreciation the contributions that South Asian Americans have made to the United States. She also discussed her plans for universal healthcare and immigration policies. In addition, she informed the audience of the immediate attention needed to address global warming and environmental changes.
Hillary Clinton also expressed the need to reestablish the image of the United States overseas, and the need for a change, specifically in Iraq and the Middle East. She said that the “deepening and strengthening” of US relations with India, one of the world’s oldest and largest democracies, would be at the top of the agenda if she is elected US President.
