Gayatri Shaktipeeth opens center in Edison

 CHICAGO: The Chicago based Gayatri Shaktipeeth branched out to New Jersey with the launch of a facility at Edison, a News Jersey suburb, last week in the presences of hundreds of Gayatri devotees.According to Kusumben Patel, one of the main organizers of the Shaktipeeth in Chicago, the launch began with the conducting of Gayatri Yagya and reciting Prgya Puran.

Dilipbhai Thakkar, Rajnibhai Modi, Dewanji, Kusumben Patel and a group of devotees from Chicago went to New York Yagya and Pragy Puran Katha. Under the leadership of Bharatbhai Thakkar, the Gayatri center at Edison area was launched .He and Hemuben Thakkar were the main hosts. During the Yagya, Kusumben said it was time of Gayatri era and hence the changing of Gayatri mantra as well as weekly Gayatri Swadhyay would be in the fitness of the things. Rajanibhai Modi distributed Gayatri Mahakal protector shield, which is said to protect from all kinds of miseries. Next year a 108 Kundi Gayatri yagya is planned.
