FREMONT: His Holiness Former Acharya Maharaj Shri Tejendraprasadji and Her Holiness Mota Gadiwala will be blessing satsangies of California from September 3 to September 9.International Swaminarayan Satsang Organization (ISSO) was established in USA in 1978 under the leadership of retired His Holiness Acharya Maharajshri Tejendraprasadji Pande.

The prime objectives of ISSO are to propagate the principles and teachings of Swaminarayan religion (part of Hindu religion) founded and ordained by Lord Shri Swaminarayan along with conducting cultural, social, and educational activities.ISSO has established eight temples and several chapters in North America. Additionally, there are temples and chapters all over the globe. Moreover, ISSO has:

• Participated in local "Keep City Clean" drives, organized "Health Fair", and conducted "Blood Donation" drives

•Raised donations and offered prayers for an entire month for the victims of the September 11 terrorist attack

• Promoted a drug-free and alcohol-free society

• Conducted numerous cultural, social, educational, and humanitarian activities

• Coordinated camps for youths every year since 1997Within India, His Holiness Acharya Maharajshri 1008 Shri Tejendraprasadji Pande (retd.) has established more than 800 temples, installing deities, initiated more than 1700 saints and incalculable satsangis (followers), and established over 60 educational institutions. Outside India, His Holiness has established the network of ISSO temples and chapters.

Her Holiness Pujya Gadiwala (wife of His Holiness Acharya Maharaj) provides spiritual leadership to the ladies and girls. They preach teachings of Lord Shri Swaminarayan and conduct camps for girls.Priests are ordained by His Holiness Acharya Maharajshri and they perform daily prayers and rituals at temples. They provide discourses to help disciples understand tenets of Shri Swaminarayan religion.
