ST. LOUIS: The emergence of India as a leading provider of information technology and services catapulted its growth in all industrial and commercial undertakings in such a manner that the country is now poised to become the leading contender to the third largest economy of the world by 2020. Alluding to this phenomenal rise of India, Dr Deepak Vyas, Chairman and the CEO of St. Louis based Information Technology business, Redberri Corporation said that states like Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh took full advantage of the opportunity and shot into prominence.

Maharashtra and Gujarat have lately joined the club and are savoring the bounties of technology. Now the enthusiasm and spirit of entrepreneurship is surging ahead in Madhya Pradesh and the Government is determined to join the bandwagon to promote an all round development by encouraging investments by NRIs worldwide.

His contribution in different fields of human activities has induced the Madhya Pradesh Government to appoint him as Advisor to the State of Madhya Pradesh, a rare honor to be bestowed on an NRI. Deepak Vyas told this paper in an interview that the MP Government has made this appointment with a view to helping it promote economic development of the State. He said he was humbled by this honor and that he would work to create more employment and educational opportunities benefiting all, especially the poor and illiterate whom the light of progress had not yet reached. "You can take away Indian from India, but not India from Indian.

It is a sacred relation of an Indian with his motherland. India is the only nation, where people adore their country as Mother India. I believe when we invest in India and get involved in these gainful activities and see the benefits of these investments bringing prosperity to the people it gives a sense of great satisfaction and make us feel proud," he said Dr Vyas took the lead in setting up an Indo-US India National Center for promoting cultural ties between India and US.

"I committed a substantial amount of donation for this project. We completed the project in record time and on May 17 celebrated its inauguration by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Within the next four months we organized the World Trade Day in St. Louis. Many distinguished politicians, businessmen and officials from India and US attended the function including the Mayor of St. Louis, Consul General of India in Chicago Arun Kumar, Governor of Missouri, US Asstt. Commerce Secretary and US Congressmen.

We are now heading towards yet another project of creating a "Knowledge Park". An MOU was signed in Khajuraho in a meeting attended by Cabinet ministers including the Chief Minister and Technology Minister. Redberri Corporation committed a donation of five million dollars,' Dr Vyas explained in the interview with the India Post. Dr Vyas further said that Madhya Pradesh would be holding an international summit for showcasing its investment potential in a number of areas, including, energy, transportation, agro-industries, bio-fuel, warehousing and hospitality to name but a few. Madhya Pradesh, a strategically located geographical area is mineral rich and could open up immense potential for investments.

During this Summit, the entire Council of Ministers and the Cabinet along with the high powered government officials would be present to make presentations about investments and issues of mutual interests. He urged the NRIs across the world, especially from the industrial economies to attend the Summit.
