LONG ISLAND: Indian Americans of New York gathered and supported the candidacy of Judge Richard Lawrence. The event was held at the luxurious Carlton hall on Long Island on September 6. Judge Lawrence has been a long standing friend of the Indian American community stating his support of Indian American values and the community's emphasis on education.Judge Lawrence is an Acting Supreme Court Justice, Former President of the Jewish Lawyers Association and Former Member of the New York State Grievance Committee for the 10th Judicial District.

Judge Lawrence also thanked Dr Parveen Chopra for Co-Chairing his election committee. The event was also attended by Samir Chopra Former Director & Chair of Judiciary Committee of the South Asian Bar Association, Usha Chopra - Former President of the India Association of Long Island, Senator Charles Fuschillo, Councilwoman Angie Cullin, Judge Robert Schulz, Councilman Gary Hudes, Judge Jerald Carter, Judge Julianne Eisman, Assemblyman David Mcdonough and Mahendra Kwatra, Board Member of Inc Village of Sands Point.
