WALNUT, CA: The 401st Martyrdom Day of Guru Arjan Devji was solemnly organized on a large scale by Sri Guru Singh Sabha of Walnut at Gurudwara Sahib Walnut, on July 4, 2007. Thousands of devotees attended the 11 hour program.

CHICAGO: In an extra-ordinary session of the Regional Executive Committee of the AAHOA held at Indo American Center in Chicago, Regional Director Sunny Gabhawalla lamented the fact that certain elements at the highest level in AAHOA are trying to dump Chicago as the venue for 2008 Convention and are canvassing for holding it in San Antonio, Texas.

NEW YORK: Sixty million children in India will get added help in basic math, reading and writing from the non-profit organization Pratham, thanks in part to a $9.1 million grant from the William and Flora Hewlett and Bill & Melinda Gates foundations, Pratham leaders announced recently.
