Medicos question rural posting on Ramadoss
Monday, 09.17.2007, 02:06am (GMT-7)

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Medical Students Association, which is in the forefront against the Center's announcement on one year compulsory rural posting for MBBS students, has demanded clarification from the Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss on the issue.

While Ramadoss, in a meeting with student representatives here, had assured to resolve the issue amicably, "he had struck to his earlier stand of not going back on the announcement," Association Secretary S Varaprasad said in a release.

Citing media reports over the Minister's refusal to take back the proposal, the association has demanded the Minister to clarify his stand.
