US Health department seeks AAPI's help in Afghanistan

NEW YORK: The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is to collaborate with AAPI on a variety of healthcare issues that confront the nation. In his meeting with the AAPI leadership, the Assistant Secretary for Health Admiral Joxel Garcia told the Indian physicians that though AAPI focuses on US and India, it also has global health interests and knowledge. The HHS, as part of its health diplomacy efforts, would like to engage AAPI in providing healthcare to the people of war-torn Afghanistan.
