Indians, Sri Lankans arrested in UK
Sunday, 08.31.2008, 11:07pm (GMT-7)

LONDON: Four Indians and as many Sri Lankans were arrested for allegedly living and working illegally in Britain.

The sleuths of the UK Border Agency took them under custody after raids across Hampshire acting on intelligence tip-off from the Portsmouth-based enforcement team.

They possessed forged work documents and will be deported to their home countries.

Speaking about the crackdown on illegal immigration in UK a spokeswoman of the Border Agency said, "We are determined to put a stop to illegal working in London and the South East, adding, "Immigration officers are focusing on gathering hard intelligence and acting on it to ensure our laws are not abused."
