Four victims of kidney racket rescued by police
Sunday, 02.10.2008, 10:56pm (GMT-7)

GURGAON: Four persons who were allegedly confined at a house by a member of the kidney transplant racket, reportedly master mined by Amit Kumar and whose kidneys were removed, were tonight rescued by the police.

Police said the kidneys of the four, Dileep, Sayeed, Naresh and Rajender had been removed. They were kept confined at a flat in Valley View Estate on the Gurgaon-Faridabad road. Police said one of them had called up the Control room, after which law enforcers reached there.

While Dileep, Sayeed and Naresh were laborers from Uttar Pradesh, Rajender was from Uttarakhand. All of them were around 30 years of age, police said. They said it seemed like the four were recuperating after their kidneys were removed.
