KOCHI: The CPI said the Third Front has not projected BSP chief Mayawati as its Prime Ministerial candidate.
Asked if Mayawati would be the Front's Prime Ministerial candidate, Bardhan said the alliance had not projected any person as Prime Ministerial candidate.
The Left parties usually do not project any leader for the post before the elections, he said adding there was, however, nothing wrong if any party in the Front projects a possible candidate.
The BJP is portraying L K Advani as its Prime Ministerial candidate, he pointed out. Freedom and sovereignty of the Third Front should not be mortgaged, he added.
