Sanjay Dutt gets temporary relief till Sept 27
Wednesday, 08.29.2007, 04:28am (GMT-7)

NEW DELHI: Actor-convict Sanjay Dutt, currently on bail in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case, received a temporary relief till September 27, when he will receive a copy of the TADA court's judgement. Dutt will go back to jail only after receiving the copy of the court order.

He was sentenced to six years imprisonment and was sent to Yervada jail in Pune.

The actor was released on August 24 from the jail following the acceptance of his bail plea. Coming out the jail, he said that had "full faith" in the judiciary but was prepared for a "long battle".

In his first public comments since he was sentenced last month, a relieved but haggard looking Dutt thanked fans, who stood by him while he was in jail.

The star's release came three days after the Supreme Court order was carried to the jail by his lawyer Satish Maneshinde.

Along the lines of the SC orders pertaining to Dutt and Nulwalla, four other convicts in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case - Sameer Hingora, Ibrahim Musa Chauhan alias Baba Chauhan, Zaibunnisa Anwar Kazi and Aziz Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed Shaikh - were also released the same day.
