Miss Teen for China pageant
Wednesday, 09.19.2007, 04:08am (GMT-7)

LOS ANGELES: Rochelle Kumar, Miss Teen South Asia 2007 is representing India at the Beauty of the World 2007 pageant in China. Her competition is 53 other delegates from different countries around the world.

The prize foundation is more than 50,000 USD. In addition to this sum, several companies will sign modeling contracts with the delegates to advertise their jewelry, clothes, cars and other products of these companies. Jinder K. Chohan, President of South Asia Inc. & SpiritOfIndia.com is the Director of Beauty of the World pageant stated, "Rochelle Kumar is our Beauty of India 2007 titleholder and is absolutely stunning, very talented and bright. She has been in China since August 24 and has been competing in various competitions all over China, hitting 9 different cities, with the main event being held on September 26, 2007 in Yichang City, Hubei Province, China.

We are proud to say that Rochelle has been making a fantastic impression in China these last few weeks at the various competitions." Jinder also noted, "Rochelle has already been offered a movie role in India that she's very excited about." Rochelle is 18 years old and resides in Seattle, Washington. Rochelle Kumar declared, "The main pageant is in about one week. I did win a competition last week, and I am now an ambassador for the City Jiuzaghou! I am having a lot of fun, but I do miss the food at home."

Rochelle mentioned, "I'm so glad to be a part of Jinder's prestigious pageant organization. I had always heard so many great things about Jinder's pageants, so I entered her Mr. /Miss/Teen/Mrs. South Asia pageant last year. I competed in the teen division and I won! I was so happy and proud of myself. Seeing my parents smiles and knowing that I'm a role model to young children was the best prize I could get. An added bonus was that the Chief Guest, Hollywood Actor Mr. Steven Seagal, mentioned he might have a future opportunity for me."

Rochelle added, “I have always been interested in the entertainment industry, but I also plan on pursuing a degree in pharmacy. Education has played a big part in my life because it has shown that I'm both beauty and brains and it has helped me in life, and I know it will help me even more in the future."
