LOS ANGELES: Under the skies of the last summer days in the hills of Altadena, California one of Sri Lankan's finest baritones, Rohan de Lanerolle belted classical and contemporary tunes.

His gentle velvet voice carried to the neighboring houses where surrounding residents hearing the music were moved to walk into the open air amphitheatre at Farnsworth Park.

The setting was perfect for 'Mozart to Engel Bert', a classical concert organized by Paalama.org.

The evening skies turned into night as the likes of Louis Paige performed to a roaring ovation. Paalama.org which is focused on bridging communities also featured Mark Chang from Singapore who performed Chopin backed by the incredible pianist Soundarie David of Sri Lanka.

The concert was unique to the Sri Lanka community because it featured complimentary tickets allowing Sri Lankan expats as well as Americans to experience the incredible music for free.
