'Childhood dream fulfilled' Thursday, 11.29.2007, 10:12pm (GMT-7) Someone once said that on a game board it's pretty easy to find the beginning. Generally it says "Start" and you put your piece on the board and "Go" on from there. With other things in life, finding "Go" is not easy. One of the trickiest parts of competing in Beauty Pageants is simply finding the right place to begin. For me, the Miss Teen South Asia Pageant was the first step to fulfilling my childhood dreams. It was a great opportunity to participate in the Pageant and I feel very fortunate that I earned a title. Being the youngest contestant in the pageant, I faced many challenges and knew that I had to work extra hard to compete with the other contestants levels. There are many special people that have a hand behind this victory. My mother played a large role as she worked day and night to ensure my preparation. In addition, one of my dear friends, Jessica Talwar, trained and prepared me for each of the segments in the pageant and worked with me countless hours to perfect my walks. I would also like to thank my Tae-kwon-do instructor, Master Henry Park, who spent months on my talent segment and helped me accomplish this title. Lastly, I would like to acknowledge all my family, friends, and sponsors who supported me in this new field and it was because of their support that I came out as a winner.
