Nikhil's challenge
Wednesday, 12.26.2007, 10:06pm (GMT-7)

LOS ANGELES: Nikhil Dhawan, Mr. South Asia 2007, will compete at Mr. International in Malaysia, representing India. The Mr. International 2007 pageant will be held in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia on Dec 31.

Some forty of the world's most good looking men will gather in Kuching, to compete for the Mr. International 2007 title, arguably the title that will be awarded to the best looking and presentable hunk in the world.

Kuching, the state capital of Sarawak, Malaysia's largest state, is one of the most interesting cities in South East Asia, and one of Malaysia's most rewarding travel destinations. Jinder K. Chohan, President of South Asia Inc., is the director for India at Mr. International and is responsible for sending the best representative for India.

Nikhil Dhawan, Mr. South Asia 2007, won the spot at Jinder's pageant onboard the ship Queen Mary, where Nikhil was sashed by Hollywood Actor Steven Seagal. Jinder is also the director of other world pageants, such as: Miss Galaxy, Mrs. Globe, Miss Asia, Mrs.

Galaxy and Beauty of the World. Jinder stated, "Nikhil is very good looking, respectable, charming and a goal-oriented young man. For the past few months, Nikhil has been working hard on his body with a personal trainer.

I'm proud to have him represent my organization and India, as Mr. India, at the Mr. International pageant." When asked how he feels about representing India at the Mr. International pageant, Nikhil Dhawan expressed, "It is an honor representing one of the most beautiful countries at the Mr. International pageant.

India is home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and I am honored to be representing the country and will do whatever I can do to represent India with dignity and respect. This will be my first trip to Malaysia and I am very excited. I am more excited to be meeting representatives from all around the world and getting to know their background and culture."

Nikhil also said, "This pageant will definitely be one of the most unique experiences in my life because I will be on the other side of the world away from all my friends and family. It will be a challenge, but I will also have the opportunity to grow and become more responsible and more mature.

The highest level of achievement at the pageant would be the title of "Mr. International" but more than anything I'd like to discover myself. I look forward to representing India, I am excited to spread the culture and love India has to offer, and I will give it my all to win."

Nikhil also has caught the acting bug. "It is my dream to become a mainstream Bollywood and Hollywood actor. My ultimate goal is to receive "the best actor" award in both industries, which would be the first time ever.

I will be graduating from my university in a year, with a major in Broadcast-Journalism. I have also been pursuing a professional acting career on the side, so after graduation I will begin working harder on my acting career. I recently attended the New York Film Academy and learned a lot about acting and filmmaking."
