Bollywood fans will be able to witness actor Vivek Oberoi perform for the very first time in the United States at this year's Bollywood Awards ceremony to be held on May 26 2007 at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island .

Oberoi blazed onto the big screen with his realistic portrayal of a gangster in Ram Gopal Varma's Company. After a few more notable performances, he was recently acclaimed for his role in Vishal Bhardwaj's Omkara.

"The Bollywood Group has brought many performers to their fans in the US for the very first time, and we are excited and proud to add Vivek Oberoi to that list," said Rajiv Dandona, Vice President of the Bollywood Awards. "Vivek is a great dancer and is putting his heart and soul into his first performance to ensure that it will be most memorable for him, and for the fans."

The Bollywood Awards committee has announced the red carpet at the Bollywood Movie Awards ceremony. The other performers announced thus far who will perform at the event this year include Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Kangana Ranaut, Raghav, and Pakistan's hottest actress and singer Shahida Mini. Also attending will be Hollywood's Danny Glover, Phylicia Rashad, Anupam Kher, Suresh Oberoi, Upen Patel, Rajkumar Hirani, Dr. Sanjay Gupta of CNN, and a host of other celebrities will be announced as the show approaches.
