LOS ANGELES: Manuri Ranasinghe will represent the exotic and the beautiful island nation of Sri Lanka at the Miss Asia USA - 20th Annual Cultural Pageant. Manuri came to the United States in 1992 along with her parents, older brother and two younger sisters.

Now in her twenties, she has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing from California State University Long Beach. She is also trained in Graphic Designing to compliment her Marketing background.

Currently she enjoys being a Marketing Coordinator at Titan Worldwide, a full service outdoor advertising company. Manuri finds her deepest satisfaction in volunteer work and wholesome living. She is also a Sunday School teacher in Los Angeles.

Creating inner change with wholesome living is an important part of her life. Manuri believes service is the highest form of work we can do.

Volunteers don't get paid because they are priceless. Out of many things Manuri had the opportunity to donate, she's most proud of donating her long hair, platelets; blood every few months and most of all, her time.

She believes a strong woman can play many roles in the society. She wants to motivate her younger sisters and all the Asian sisters to be positive no matter what situation arises in life.
