HONG KONG: International Networks, subsidiary of Comcast and the leading aggregator of multi-ethnic programming in the United States, and Star Group Ltd., subsidiary of News Corporation and the leading media and entertainment company in Asia, announced an agreement for International Networks to represent five of Star's Indian channels to MSOs throughout the United States.
The agreement will see most of the channels included on International Networks' transponder and available for MSOs immediately. The five channels included in the agreement are- Star India Plus, Star India Gold, Star India One, Star India News and Vijay.
"As the Indian American consumer segment has grown, so has the need for operators to have quality South Asian content to stay competitive. International Networks is excited to partner with Star to provide five of India's most popular channels to help MSOs reach this lucrative demographic," said Michael Scott, Vice President of Affiliate Sales and Marketing at International Networks.
