IRVINE: Pearl Entertainment Inc held a press launch of Hamilton Brewart’s Miss Showbiz India USA beauty pageant 2007-08 at Chakra Indian Cuisine.

The 15 finalists were selected by a distinguished panel of judges, which mixed Hollywood's elite with career professionals who are leaders of their respective fields. Judges included Ayushka Singh Gharib (reigning Miss India USA), Sunkrish Bala (ABC series Notes from the Underbelly), Asal Masomi (CEO of AMPR), Richard Adams (NBC Today Show producer), Joys Wong (Media Supervisor of IW Group), Sanjay Kucheria (President of TIE S. California) and Alison Treleaven (vice-president Habitat for Humanity).

Other celebrities in attendance included former Miss World Diana Hayden, former Miss India and Bollywood actress Pooja Batra, reigning Mrs.Asia USA Smita Salgaonkar, KNX anchor and reporter Frank Mottek, former Miss India Vithika Agarwal, and 1st runner-up of Miss Showbiz India USA 2006/reiging 1st runner up of Miss Asia USA, Shilpa Mamidi.Former Miss LA India and Executive Producer of Miss Showbiz India USA/Showbiz India Television Network, Reshma Dordi announced all these celebrities attendance for the Final Pageant on Saturday, August 4 at the historic Alex Theater in Glendale as well. In addition to attending, former Miss World, Diana Hayden will be serving as Celebrity Emcee for the evening.

Dordi announced that former Miss India/Bollywood movie star Celina Jaitley would also be attending the final Pageant. “Mission through the pageant was to provide a forum for these young girls to showcase their talents and to grow socially, culturally and to build confidence, self esteem and life long relationships,” said Dordi.The pageant is being sponsored by –Hamilton Brewart Insurance (Presenter), Bhindi Jewellers, Chakra Creative Indian Cuisine, Dr. Parimal Kansagra, Maazda Travel (Platinum sponsors), Saffron Spot and Westar Funding and Realty (Diamond sponsors) and Paul Kalra of Signature America (Gold sponsor). After the announcement of the 15 finalists, the contestants took part in the Miss Most Beautiful Hair and Miss Most Beautiful Eyes, winners for which will be announced August 4.
