LOS ANGELES: The current Miss India USA Ayushka Singh has been selected to represent India and will compete for the crown of Miss Asian America 2007. The Miss India USA title gave her entry into this prestigious event and after a process of elimination Ayushka was chosen.
Ayushka has achieved a string of successes the past year. As the current Miss India USA, she also bagged the title of Best Talent and Most Beautiful Smile. She also was crowned Miss Teen India America 2006 last August, also taking the Miss India America Photogenic title away with that. She was the runner up to last year’s Miss Asia USA 2006 pageant.
The pageant will be held on August 11 at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre in San Francisco. Ayushka says that without the continuous life training from her parents Arenath and Kasturi Singh, to always hold her head up high and emote positive energy, she wouldn’t have been where she is today. She is also thankful to have received a great response from the Indian community and thanked India Post for their unconditional support and wishes.
