As part of the Indian Consulate's cultural program series in New York, celebrated Kathak danseuse and choreographer Archana Joglekar and New York-based popular Tabla player, Suphala performed at the Consulate in New York on July 20.

Archana Anant Joglekar, born and brought up in Mumbai has been a prominent face in TV serials and movies. Some of the movies done by the actress are, Aatank Hi Aatank (1995), Maa Kasam Badla Loonga (1990), Billo Badshah (1989), Mardangi (1988) and Sansar(1987).

Archana bid adieu to Bollywood soon after her marriage to find a new life in Princeton, US. Being a professional Kathak dancer her perfection, capacity to perform intricate footwork with unbelievable ease, and Abhinaya is par excellence.

She is one of those rare artists whose performance excels in technique, at the same time she touches the heart of the viewer. She is also an accomplished choreographer in the field of live state shows, films and television. Archana, today teaches this form of art to several young children in East-coast New York.
